The affordable luxury label is giving its community the opportunity of selling pre-owned items, receiving in exchange shopping vouchers redeemable in-store or on Maje’s dedicated second-hand fashion site. Items from previous collections will be authenticated and verified by Maje, and shipped to new customers using sustainable packaging.
Maje is following in the footsteps of Sandro – the SMCP group’s flagship label – as the group’s second brand to introduce a resale service for private customers’ pre-owned clothes. Maje, currently distributed in 40 countries and growing at an energetic pace
“Seconde Main has been created to enable people to experience fashion differently,” said Milgrom, Maje’s founder and creative director. “We encourage our community to be creative in its vision of style by mixing pieces that have different histories, in the spirit of doing something positive for the environment,” she added.
To accompany the launch, Maje has produced and filmed a series of interviews with young fans of sustainable fashion, highlighting their advice on social media on how to become more responsible consumers.
