Rihanna has made it clear that cold weather does not determine what she wears.
In late December she wore a purple miniskirt despite the chilly air. In early January she wore a puffer vest as a top. And over the weekend—when temps in New York City were below freezing—the multihyphenate billionaire went out in Manhattan on January 22 with boyfriend A$AP Rocky in an oversized football jersey and no pants. And of course, she looked incredible.
For her latest night out with A$AP, Rihanna paired a Martine Rose football jersey, which she wore as a dress since it fell about mid-thigh, with a bright red Balenciaga parka and black and blue Miu Miu gloves. The warmth on Rihanna’s arms and hands must have made up for the lack of winter weather wear on her legs and feet, because for footwear she also defied the season with strappy heels with silver ankle straps.
To complete the outfit, Rihanna wore a black baseball cap with the letter R on it and elevated the athletic look with large silver earrings. She wore a bold red lipstick, and her cheeks were contoured to perfection. Meanwhile, Rihanna’s BF A$AP Rocky covered up in a furry beige jacket, a beanie, dark pants, red gloves, and boots.

As determined by Rihanna’s impeccable fashion so far in 2022, her first full year as National Hero of Barbados is off to an excellent start. (In November 2021, Rihanna was named a national hero of her home country on its 55th Independence Day.)
“Nothing compares to being recognized in the soil that you grew in,” Rihanna said during her acceptance speech. “Barbadians are a proud people. We are probably the proudest people I know. No matter where I go in the world I take that pride with me.” That includes, clearly, the streets of New York.
