No-makeup selfies are pretty much the only kind of internet selfie we can get behind. Especially when they come from hair icon and still-picture fan Jennifer Aniston.
The 53-year-old posted a makeup-free selfie to Instagram on Tuesday, July 26. In the photo Aniston’s hair appears to be curled to perfection by nothing but the sea breeze and salt water, the exact effect we landlocked folk seek with sea salt sprays. The actor protected her skin from the sun with a woven hat with a drawstring and a pair of sunglasses with transparent frames.
Aniston, as always, is wearing a black bathing suit—though all we can see is a glimpse of the strap. Instead of words in the caption, Aniston used three emoji: 👋🏼☀️❤️ .

The Friends, who is known for her straight, sleek, and highlighted hair, is starting to embrace her natural waves. Back in January, posted another relaxed, no-makeup selfie on Instagram. In the picture she showed off her natural waves and frizz, and wrote in the caption, “Okay, Humidity…Let’s go…”

In December 2021, Aniston opened up to The Hollywood Reporter about the public’s perception of her private life. “I used to take it all very personally—the pregnancy rumors and the whole, ‘Oh, she chose career over kids’ assumption,’” she said. “It’s like, ‘You have no clue what’s going with me personally, medically, why I can’t…can I have kids?’ They don’t know anything, and it was really hurtful and just nasty….
