Zendaya continues to embrace bold patterns and statement dressing, firmly turning her back on the minimalism of yore. In her latest ’fit, the rocks a lot of polka dots in a romper (playsuit? Bodysuit? What are we calling this?) adorned with artificial flowers.
The garment, from Balmain’s spring-summer 2024 collection, features an exaggerated hip silhouette and a structured neckline that includes a popped collar that turns into a deep V. Clearly, Zendaya’s has been tailored to perfection, as it fits her like a glove. Matching pumps with a patent toe complete the ensemble.
Zendaya posed in front of a ridiculously picturesque view of Paris, then posted the results to Instagram with a simple flowers emoji caption, which you can see here.
“Oh yes,” wrote her Euphoria love interest Hunter Schaefer in the comments. “Sickening,” added fellow star Storm Reid. Fans were just happy to see her being active on social media again, having posted a number of vicious slays in the past couple days.
The look was chosen by Zendaya’s former stylist, current creative director (self-described “image architect”) Law Roach. Olivier Rousteing, the designer currently serving as creative director of Balmain, expressed his excitement over seeing Zendaya in his creation on Instagram: “Bonjour Paris 🌷 @zendaya in Balmain Paris L’élégance , la beauté , le talent. Feel so honored to see one of the most incredible and inspiring elegance and talent wearing fresh from the runway this outfit from my show. For you to know all the flowers are made of recycled bottle and doing a new way of sustainable couture. It’s a couture for the future. Okay, environment! Now…maybe next time the fabric is upcycled too? Just a thought.
