Jennifer Lopez has worn some pretty complicated outfits during her decades in the spotlight. This is not one of them.
While out in L.A. on Tuesday, April 19, Lopez wore a breezy, belted Chanel tunic paired with espresso-colored mules, silver hoop earrings, and oversize sunnies. The look is giving Jesus, if Jesus had been into luxury designers and also happened to be the most famous Jennifer on the planet (and that’s saying something, there are a lot of famous Jennifers).
The classic, summery silhouette is the ideal Coachella ’fit for people whose fashion priorities include avoiding sweaty denim cutoffs and wardrobe malfunctions (me). But Lopez doesn’t need Coachella—if anything, Coachella needs Lopez.

The 52-year-old posted a glimpse of the outfit to her “Street Style” Instagram Story over the weekend, though it looks like she changed up the original look a bit, swapping embellished Dolce & Gabbana heels for the simpler mules, as well as an Yves Saint Laurent satchel for a croc bucket bag.
The performer has been spotted house-hunting with fiancée Ben Affleck over the past few days after their previous offer on a Bel-Air mansion fell through. In her most recent “On the JLo” newsletter, Lopez gushed about her relationship with Affleck, the Bennifer renaissance, and how exactly the proposal went down.
“Saturday night while at my favorite place on earth (in the bubble bath), my beautiful love got on one knee and proposed,” she wrote. “I was taken totally off guard and just looked in his eyes smiling and crying at the same time trying hard to get my head around the fact that after 20 years this was happening all over again, I was quite literally speechless and he said, ‘is that a yes?’ I said YES of course that’s a YES.”
