Premier League champions Chelsea return to Premier League action on Saturday against Burnley at Turf Moor. Thomas Tuchel’s side won the Club World Cup last weekend, beating Palmeiras 2-1 after extra-time in the United Arab Emirates to add to their UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Super Cup triumphs this season. Chelsea will be looking to continue their impressive form in the Premier League, where they are currently third in the table, 13 points behind leaders Manchester City after 24 games played. Burnley, meanwhile, are 18th in the table, just one point above the relegation zone. Sean Dyche’s side have won just three of their last 15 Premier League games and have failed to score in their last four matches. Chelsea will be without injured quartet Reece James, Ben Chilwell, Mateo Kovacic and Andreas Christensen for the trip to Turf Moor. Burnley have no fresh injury concerns, with Johann Berg Gudmundsson and Ashley Barnes both expected to return to the squad after missing the defeat to Liverpool last weekend. Chelsea have won their last four Premier League matches against Burnley, scoring 10 goals and conceding just one. The Blues have also won the last three meetings between the two sides at Turf Moor. Burnley’s last win over Chelsea came in August 2017, when they won 3-2 at Stamford Bridge. The match between Burnley and Chelsea will be played on Saturday, February 12 at Turf Moor, with kick-off at 15:00 GMT. The match will be broadcast live on BT Sport 1 in the United Kingdom and on Peacock in the United States. Chelsea will be looking to continue their impressive form and extend their lead over fourth-placed Manchester United, while Burnley will be desperate for a win to boost their survival hopes. Prediction: Chelsea to win 2-0.
