As fans await the return of Emily in Paris on Netflix this December, Lily Collins has been giving them a taste of what’s to come on the red carpet. Or not. By now the audience is familiar with heroine Emily Cooper’s wardrobe: bold, frilly and very colorful—verging occasionally on the gaudy. But with her latest real-life look, Collins adopted a sultrier version of the oft-referenced French-girl aesthetic.
At the Paris premiere of the third season of , the 33-year-old actor wore a head-turning ensemble that was the antithesis to her character’s style. The look comprised a tan floor-length Saint Laurent dress with cutouts across the front and power shoulders. Collins finished the outfit with Cartier jewelry pieces and a black patent leather pair of platform heels.
While there’s a charm to the mood-lifting looks on the hit show, it’s refreshing to see Lily Collins take on a new sartorial mood. Perhaps this may be the result of working with stylists Rob Zangardi and Mariel Haenn? (The same duo behind J.Lo’s jaw-dropping style moments.)
