Keira Knightley’s stylist was working overtime on March 15.
On Wednesday, Knightley was photographed running around New York City to promote her latest film, Boston Strangler, and it seems she wouldn’t dare get caught in the same look twice. The 37-year-old actor was first photographed in a chic three-piece Celine suit, with a white bow tied around her collar. She paired the look with a pair of simple black boots.
For her first quick change, Knightley showed up for a taping of Live With Kelly and Ryan wearing an oversized cream Gucci skirt suit over a blue Oxford button-up and studded black heels. According to stylist Leith Clark’s Instagram Story, Knightley accessorized with Grainne Morton and Jessica McCormack jewels.
Pro tip: It appears Knightly left her makeup consistent throughout the day and opted for just a few touch-ups to her loose waves for added bounce. The only thing that really changed other than her clothes was her lipstick shade, which seemed to transition from berry red to a pink nude midway through the day. And that’s on keeping it simple.
Knightley’s next look was dressed down elegance. The actor paired two Maison Valentino pieces, a cozy heather-grey sweater, and a floor-length feathered skirt. Though the pieces might not seem to be a likely pair, Knightley wore them as if they belonged together all along. A dainty necklace added a little sparkle to the all-grey outfit and she wore her hair in relaxed waves with the perfect side part.
Peeking out from her skirt was a pair of black satin Manolo Blahnik Hangisi pumps, exactly the same as Carrie Bradshaw wore when she married Mr. Big. The look is casually classy and perfect for the Boston Strangler actor.
Outfit change number four featured a luxurious Maison Valentino trench coat. The oversized garment was detailed with wispy feathers, a theme in Knightley’s closet. There wasn’t much change in her makeup, only a lipstick refresh to something lighter to give a fresh-faced glow. Knightley’s feather ‘fit was completed with a pair of Carel Paris strappy heels with buckle detailing.
All of Knightley’s looks are fabulous, but this day-to-night set is my favorite. The all-black Chanel jumpsuit was a sheer dream and the polka-dot details added an element of fun. The belt around her waist was embellished with silver, matching the top button of the flowy jumpsuit and open-toed pumps that followed the silver theme with a thin band of metallic stones around the platform.
An appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon topped off her New York City press tour for Boston Strangler, and her final outfit did not disappoint. Knightley wore a metallic Simone Rocha midi-dress with ruched details and puffy sleeves. The dress was paired with high-gloss platform mary janes and subtle smokey-eye makeup.
Six outfit changes in 12 hours is an impressive feat, but Knightley’s stylist Leith Clark was up for the challenge. Each look played up Knightley’s timeless elegance and added a playful edge to her style, but she saved the best for last. After a long day of press, Keira Knightley wore the most relatable outfit of them all: pajamas.
