Ever since she was snapped wearing that Khaite cashmere bra and matching, barely buttoned cardigan in 2019, Katie Holmes has been a street-style star. By now the Dawson’s Creek actor is known for instantly recognizable wardrobe signatures, from wide-leg jeans and girlish ballet flats, to snug knits and normcore sneakers. And her latest look is a mash-up of all her favorite pieces.
Spotted outside the Tribeca Chanel Women’s Filmmaker Program luncheon in New York City, the 43-year-old actor wore an ensemble emblematic of the casual-cool aesthetic that she’s become known for. The look—all Chanel—comprised a white T-shirt, blue denim wide-leg culottes, a brown oversized knitted cardigan (from the Parisian house’s autumn-winter 2022 show, FYI), a black leather pair of ballet pumps, and a cross-body flap bag.
Dressing in head-to-toe Chanel is not in most people’s fall wardrobe budget, but there are easy ways to replicate Holmes’s look. All you need is a baggy jean, a cozy knit, and sweet flats.
Though she’s not averse to ramping up the glamour for the red carpet, Holmes never looks better than when—like her most famous character, Joey Potter—she’s in girl-next-door mode. Only in real life, her jeans are by Chanel.
