Maggie Gyllenhaal and Peter Sarsgaard must have equally mighty genes, because their daughter Ramona is the spitting image of…both of them. The teenager and her mom attended the Dior show at Paris Fashion week looking like the coolest art history teacher at boarding school and her favorite student, a rule-breaking artist who’s a secret genius. Or something.
Gyllenhaal wore a black wool coat with lace shoes, a tasseled bag, and large sunglasses, while Ramona opted for an oversized jacket, plaid dress, and oxford loafers with socks. BRB, taking notes for my Fall Fashions.
Can you imagine being in Ramona’s class and, like, studying for a history test and you text your friend to see if she wants to do Zoom flashcards together (or whatever they do now) and she’s like, oh sorry, just saw this, time zones, I’m in Paris for Fashion Week. And you’re just like cool cool, BTW the Treaty of Versailles was signed in 1919.
I’ll just get this out of the way here: Maggie Gyllenhaal may have scripted and directed The Lost Daughter, but it looks like she found her! Ha, ha! Okay, thank you, that’s over now.
In addition to Ramona, Gyllenhaal and Sarsgaard also share daughter Gloria, age 10. They tend to keep their children and home life out of the spotlight, but Gyllenhaal did recently share a throwback picture from one of her pregnancies on Instagram in honor of Mother’s Day.

Later we got a look at Gyllenhaal’s outfit without the coat:
So much going on! Sheer bra, sheer top, crochet sleeves, belt, skirt, pop of red on the nails, a simple bangle bracelet. In fact, it looks a little like the outfit Miss Ramona wore last year when she accompanied both her parents to the Gotham Awards. A bit closer to home for the Brooklyn-based family, but no less stylish!
Once again, bravo and brava to this family’s DNA.
