While spending time in New York City between shows for her Eras Tour, Taylor Swift has been embracing classic all-American summer style. It makes sense for the wholesome pop singer, who hails from Pennsylvania, hosted legendary Fourth of July parties, and called her 2020 Netflix documentary Miss Americana.
This week Swift stepped out in Manhattan wearing a breezy all-white ensemble perfect for the summer heat, along with her trademark red lip. Her white linen eyelet bustier top and matching midi-skirt are by the king of all-American preppy style, Ralph Lauren. The “Lover” singer completed her minimalist look with a pair of hazelnut nappa leather Aeyde sandals, a brown M Frame box bag from Mansur Gavriel, and Larkspur & Hawk drop earrings.
Earlier in the week, the star was photographed carrying a Ralph Lauren calfskin Wellington shoulder bag while wearing a classic white R13 shirt, denim shorts, and A Emery sandals (a collaboration she worked on with resortwear brand Matteau). She was earlier seen, with The 1975 singer Matty Healy, sporting a vintage purple and white NYU jumper, which she paired with a black Free People skort and trainers by The Row for a preppy, almost cheerleader-worthy look.
Far from her bedazzled stage looks (in the midst of her blockbuster tour, Taylor Swift announced on Instagram last night that she’ll be dropping a remix of her track “Karma” featuring rising rapper Ice Spice), Swift’s downtime wardrobe is all about good basics and classic summer style: floaty white fabrics, blue denim, and luxe leather flats. Miss Americana indeed.
