It’s not quite monochrome, but I love this soft neutral look Jennifer Lopez has going on here.
On July 12, photographers captured Mrs. Affleck leaving a restaurant (or so it appears in the pics) in Los Angeles, dressed in a modern take on a ladies-who-lunch look. The This Is Me…Now artist stepped out in a loose-fitting silk button down with unbuttoned cuffs—a chic alternative to rolled sleeves—tucked into a pair of tailored wide-leg trousers.
The shirt’s warm neutral shade is a subtle contrast to the white pants, making the whole look just this side of monochrome. She finished the look with platform espadrille sandals, oversized aviators, and a large Birkin bag in matching white. Naturally.
It’s a look intended to give the impression of effortless elegance—though not quite as effortless as the baggy sweatsuit look she was wearing a few days earlier. For that lunch date, J.Lo was pictured in a dramatically oversized oatmeal-colored tracksuit, which she accessorized with a cream-colored fedora and sparkly silver combat boots.
Sweatsuit aside, I can’t help but notice that Lopez seems to be leaning into her roots and embracing a more East Coast style with her looks these days. Take, for instance, the floral romper she wore on a trip to the Hamptons with Ben Affleck and the kids, which could have been stolen directly from Blair Waldorf’s closet. I’m also loving the striped, sunny sundress she wore for date night with Ben back in May.
This is Jennifer Lopez…now.
