Bringing back the belly chain, a Y2K style staple. The star has been spotted not once, not twice, but four times with a bejeweled chain around her midsection recently.
Ms. Kardashian kicked off this chain of events in March, posing in a black string bikini with a gold chain around her waist. Then in May the Skims founder swapped the gold chain for a diamond one at a Parsons benefit.
She wore another a month ago at the White Party in the Hamptons in New York, tossing a versatile necklace around her waist that, according to , is worth over a million dollars, thanks to the 17-carat teardrop-shaped stone in the middle.

But she downgraded back to the simple diamond chain for a night out in Miami on July 21…
And she was feeling this look so much she posted it in August…twice. Perhaps to address the #latergrams allegations, on August 7 she uploaded a couple random snaps with the caption “Love finding old photos in my phone.”

So are belly chains a thing again? Elle Singapore reported in 2021 that Blackpink’s Jennie is a fan of the accessory, and Rihanna wore nearly $2 million worth of diamonds around her pregnant belly to Bey’s Oscars after-party in February of this year. Margot Robbie recently wore a chain belt on the Barbie red carpet, and several popular retailers have started stocking the accessory again. Even so, this trend seems to be a harder sell for the masses. It’s not likely you’d wear one to the office, after all—unless you are Kim K, of course.
