No flat feet here! Selena Gomez went full Barbie on her birthday, from a fuchsia minidress to sparkly pink heels, as she celebrated with a private screening of the Greta Gerwig–directed blockbuster.
“On Wednesdays we wear pink,” she wrote on Instagram, quoting Mean Girls, another female-driven hit about the pressures and falsehoods of femininity. In the post, which you can flip through here, you can see she really went all out with this look: a sparkly charm bracelet and pearl choker to accessorize her Valentino dress and Piferi mules. The brand identified the shoes as the Tiana Pinks, if you want your own pair.
Gomez also provided feathered boas and cowgirl hats for her guests, which included her little sister Gracie. Now we know why she needed a pink manicure!
This is the second of Sel’s two 31st-birthday parties. She also hit up what looks like a club in a red tube dress and indoor sunglasses for a bash that included guests like Paris Hilton and Christina Aguilera.

Gomez also used the occasion of her birthday to reflect more seriously about her priorities in life, writing on Instagram, “I am thankful for so much in my life and one of the things I am most thankful for is the work we’ve been able to do with the Rare Impact Fund through @Rarebeauty. Because of YOU we’ve been able to raise awareness and increase access to mental health services for young people. This is my true passion in life. People keep asking me what I want for my birthday, and I tell everyone the same thing please do not get me anything but if you want to do something for my birthday, please donate to the Rare Impact Fund.”
