Sabrina Carpenter is feeling the sheer trend.
The musician and actor slipped into something super sheer for a night out, sharing a series of pics of herself and her friends enjoying the evening together. In the photos, Sabrina wears a see-through black short-sleeved maxi dress over a black bra and black boyshorts, styled with a pair of knee-high boots and a pair of drop earrings. The dress is the perfect mix of grunge and glamour, what with its long length and corset-style boning at the bodice, as though Wednesday Addams put her spin on the ensemble.
Sabrina let the dress do the talking and wore her hair pulled back in a half-updo with loose waves falling down her back and her long bangs worn curled across her forehead. Super glowy skin and a rusty color on both her lids and lips added a touch of romance and drama, a light contrast against the gothic glamour of her sheer maxi.

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen the star in sheer. She often incorporates elements of the trend into her looks, including on the cover of her latest album, Emails I Can’t Send, where she poses on a bed in a slip dress. She’s experimented with mesh gloves, see-through catsuits, and full-length sheer gowns in the past. She’s also a fan of Y2K style silhouettes, including the ribbed Helmut Lang minidress and matching shrug she wore with sheer tights in early 2022.
Sabrina is clearly having lots of fun playing with her look and trying out new trends. Her Emails I Can’t Send tour continues until mid-May, so we’ll be keeping a close eye on this style star both onstage and off.
