Alexandre de Betak named creative chairman at The Independents
Founder of Bureau Betak and co-founder of The Independents, Alexandre de Betak has been named the new creative chairman at The Independents.
The move follows an investment from Towerbrook Capital Partners and FL Entertainment.
In this role, Betak will work to attract the best talents in the world, devise new brand strategies and develop strategic and creative partnerships through acquisitions. The integration of sustainability and technology practices will also be a high priority.
Coinciding with this news, Betak said he will step away from Bureau’s everyday operational activities in order to step up to the group. Bureau Betak is an internationally renowned events production agency, which he established in 1990.
The Independents Group acquired a majority stake of Bureau Betak in September 2021, consolidating The Independents Group and Bureau Betak into the largest communications, experience, influence and digital marketing agency within fashion and lifestyle globally.
Betak has spent more than 30 years directly involved in the creation of fashion and lifestyle experiences, producing upwards of 1500 shows.
