Jodie Comer just proved that black on the red carpet is not boring when done to perfection.
For the British Academy Television Awards on Sunday, May 8, in London, the Killing Eve star wore a simple but stunning black gown.
The Boss dress features peaked lapels and pocket details reminiscent of a tuxedo jacket, made dramatic with a plunging V-neck and three strategically placed buttons. The gown fits so well that it could have honestly been painted on Comer’s body. She wore black velvet strappy platform heels from Jimmy Choo and silver jewelry, including a choker necklace and earrings.
For makeup, Comer wore a subtle winged liner with peachy-toned eyeshadow paired with a rosy, neutral lip. She wore her hair down and sleek in a wet hairstyle.

At the event, Jodie Comer—who, for the record, should have been nominated for an Oscar for her performance in The Last Duel—won an award for her role in the British television drama Help, in which she played a health care worker at a care home just as the COVID-19 pandemic hit the U.K.
Congrats on your win, Jodie. But mostly, congrats on this look.
