The chief executive, who was in charge of the turnaround at the business and oversaw its sale to Authentic, is reportedly one of several executives, who will leave the company soon.

There has been no confirmation of the story that was originally reported by Sky News.

Ted Baker was acquired in a £211 million deal last autumn and a number of department heads have left since then with the new owner reviewing roles at the firm’s head office.

One of the outgoing execs was CCO Jason Beckley who has since joined ambitious high street lingerie brand Boux Avenue as its new chief marketing officer.

The sale of Ted Baker brought to an end its once-successful period as a stock exchange-listed business. During this time it had been highly valued, prior to a period of decline that it seemed unable to reverse and its eventual sale.
