Visitors were able to view around 1,100 collections for Autumn/Winter 2024/25. However, the fair did not disclose the amount of visitors. According to Creative Director Frank Junker, the days of crowds of visitors pushing their way through the exhibition halls are over. Today, success and quality are expressed differently.

The fair has once again proven itself as the strong platform for which it is known, says Managing Director Sebastian Klinder

“The fact that we as a trade show can offer this qualitative continuity in transformative times, in which much of the fashion business is being readjusted and put to the test, is honoured by our visitors, exhibitors and partners and confirms our conviction that Munich Fabric Start brings together the right people at the right place and on the right topics,” says Klinder.

As usual, numerous designers and product managers from German fashion brands, including Hugo Boss

“After intensive discussions with a large number of relevant market participants, we decided to take a progressive step and reposition Munich Fabric Start in terms of dates,” adds Creative Director Frank Junker. “After three days of the show, we can confirm that all those for whom we selected an earlier date were able to come to Munich and do successful business.”

The need for information and orientation is becoming increasingly important, Junker states. Fully attended trend lectures and the large number of panels, where topics relevant to the future were discussed controversially, showed how important personal exchange is for the industry.

“I would even go so far as to say that the joy of meeting and exchanging ideas in person, working together on collections and inspiring each other or celebrating together is essential for releasing the creativity that is essential for fashion’s survival – and we definitely felt this joy during the past three days,” Junker continues.

They are now “looking forward with anticipation” to the upcoming trade fairs – first and foremost the “reVIEW Autumn.Winter 24/25”, which is to celebrate its premiere at the Motorworld in Munich on September 13 and 14. Junker and Klinder are convinced that the new venue will offer the industry a late order date, as usual, which is perfect for follow-ups and research into the latest market developments.

As a new concept, the “reVIEW” replaces the previous View PremiumGmbH
